Clear Moon

Clear moon, would I were just as strong as thee
From morn to night perched on your cloudy throne,
Seeing the earth unfold like scrolls for thee
As though the earth and all in it’s your own.
For, while the waters go about their task
Of purifying every cliff and shore,
You’re there behind your cloud-streaked starry mask
Giving them light for ever, ever more.
How dear ‘twould be, to watch the lush green earth
Turn into gold and orange in the fall,
To witness every golden day’s dear birth
With beauty standing, blessing one and all.

However, I must face reality:
I am not you, I am just simply me.

Sorry for the long hiatus. I know it’s been a while since I’ve posted something here. It’s only because I’ve been busy, what with all the activities that the school mounts during the closing days of the school year.
